Project Objective:
To aware the community people on Comprehensive Peace Accord at transaction period.
District Level orientation:
District level orientation program has been conducted successfully on Oct 3, 07. District level stakeholders, NGO, GO, CBO representatives and journalist participated in the orientation program. 45 participants (15 female and 30 Male) were participated actively. Umesh Lal Das representative from civil society of Bara, Birendra Sah members of central committee of Press Chautari Newspaper and Women development office representative put his views on peace accord and importance of CA awareness. They commented that all the political leaders must be invited for open session, to create pressure for practice.
Training of trainers to peace Volunteers:
62 peace volunteer selected (48 peace volunteers from 24 VDCs and 14 peace volunteers from Kalaiya municipality) and hired from August 3, 07. The hired peace volunteers received training of trainers on The CPA and CA in different 3 training centers. The content of the training was design by RICOD and technical support also provided in the coordination of technical team. NYSC, Bara played the pivotal role for training management and resource management. The main objective of the TOT was to build the capacity of youth peace volunteers to facilitate community level orientation and contribute for peace building process in youth initiation. The participants were participated Pre test and post test, the post test result shows the knowledge gained level of peace volunteers. The result was good in statistical frame. Micro teaching enabled the capacity for good performance in field.
Group Orientation:
The trained 62 peace volunteers are conducted 43 group orientation program. 142 male and 1190 female in total 1332 community people were oriented the CPA message. As the demand of community people the peace volunteers are initiating in local level extra activity. For conduction the communities demand orientation NYSC, Bara contributing.
School level Orientation:
As per plan peace volunteer conducted 22 school level orientation program successfully. 610 male and 386 female including school teachers, in total 996 students and teacher participated actively in orientation program. Most of the teachers and guardians are beyond from the knowledge of the Comprehensive Peace Accord and constituent assembly.
Teej/Cultural song competition:
2700 participants were participated in Teej celebration. 6 events of teej /cultural program were accomplished at SIMRA, KOLAHABI, NIJGARDH, SAPAHI, DUMARWANA and KALAIYA. 300 men and 2400 female participated actively. Prizes were distributed through decision committee to the 18 winners and consolation prizes were distributed to 24 women. Local journalists were reported the events to local and national Newspapers and Nepal 1 TV channel telecasted the events of Nijgardh on the same date. REDIO BIRGANJ and INDERANI FM broadcasted the events of Simara live.

Most of the Nepalese people of rural community have strong curiosity to know about CPA and CA process.
